TWA’s Cities of Tomorrow

TWA is developing transformative mixed-use communities which embody our foundational pillars. These communities are being developed on the campuses of colleges and universities, private property and in public / private joint ventures with municipalities.

While COVID had catastrophic effects on the health and well-being of the planet’s populace, it also shone an illuminating light on defining priorities, such as quality of life and the family nucleus.

Technology enhancements in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (Ai), augmented reality (AR) and virtual meeting tools have enabled us to meet our professional and employment responsibilities, while simultaneously enjoying time with our families. The remote work force has more than doubled.

During the past decade, many small colleges and universities have suffered financial woes, unable to compete with larger, better capitalized institutions. In seeking to survive, these small colleges began selling off their most valuable asset: their real estate. Recognizing that this was not a sustainable solution, TWA has embarked on developing communities on college campuses which encompass the following:

Z

The creation of sustainable income streams, comprised of experiential elements which define each school’s core origin.

Z

Housing and hotels to accommodate professors, staff, students, visiting families of prospective future students and residents seeking to live in these cities where the college is domiciled.

Z

Senior mentoring centers, where seniors impart their lifetimes of wisdom to the student populace in a symbiotic and supportive manner.

Z

State-of-the-art expo centers and communication hubs for hosting virtual meetings.

Z

Farmer’s markets, restaurants and other unique food & beverage venues.

Z

Hiking and biking trails, green spaces, sustainable energy solutions, green building processes and vertical gardens and/or greenhouses. (The latter contributing not only to the residents living on campus, but as well providing food to the needy and food banks within the respective communities).

These and other elements which are geographic specific contribute to TWA’s Cities of Tomorrow™, resulting in them becoming destination hubs of the markets in which they are situated. They highlight one of TWA’s foundational pillars of putting education at the forefront of society. TWA is not just helping these educational institutions to survive—but to thrive.
