Life Success

1964. Lyndon Baines Johnson (LBJ) was President of the United States, stepping into that role after President John F. Kennedy was assassinated the year before. The Vietnam War was at its height of conflict. The Beatles came to the United States, appearing on The Ed Sullivan Show and transformed the music world forever. Prime Minister of Israel, Shimon Peres, signed the peace accord with Yasir Arafat.

While these events were taking place, a brilliant young woman, fresh out of college, began working as a research psychologist at The National Institutes of Health. That young woman addressed a very distinguished group of doctors and medical leaders, in an impromptu commentary:

She felt and expressed that our medical, health and life “System” was misaligned. She suggested that, instead of categorizing people according to their illnesses, we study healthy, successful people who had achieved success and notoriety, delving into what made them healthy and successful. The young woman was literally laughed out of the room of that gathering.

That brilliant young researcher is TWA valued Board member and Director of Leadership, Susan Ford Collins, and the event above defined Susan’s life path. Susan founded The Technology of Success, “shadowing” the greats of our time and identified 10 essential skills that each were applying unknowingly. When applied properly, these skills yield successful life outcomes.

What is Success?

Integral to TWA’s mission and pillars is helping people of all ages define what “Success” means to each person. Success is not just monetary success, although that may be one of many “barometers” to an individual. TWA is transforming education and helping students of all ages and background to define success.

Are Success and Happiness the same?

Once an individual defines what Success means for him or her, TWA’s methodologies help them focus on attaining it. When they achieve that success, all other elements of their lives begin to align .
